Sacraments on the alter

St Nicholas’ is a diverse and inclusive church, made up of more than 20 different nationalities. We welcome and serve all people in the name of Jesus Christ.

Our congregation meets at Mikael Agricolan Kirkko in central Helsinki. Whether you are living in Finland or just visiting, we hope that St Nicholas’ will always be a spiritual home for you.

Services at St Nicholas are conducted in English and follow the liturgy of the Church of England. We are the ‘mother congregation’ of the Anglican Chaplaincy in Finland, led by our chaplain the Revd Tuomas Mäkipää.  Anglican services in English are also available in Tampere and Turku. Together we belong to the Church of England’s Diocese in Europe.

Worship with Us

Join us for our Sung Eucharist every Sunday at 10:00am! We welcome people of all denominations and and any who are just starting out on, or returning to, the journey of faith. Do join us in the crypt after the service for coffee and a chat!

We also have a monthly All-Age Service (during school term-time) and traditional Choral Evensong, which are advertised on our calendar and social media channels. Some of our services are streamed and available to view here: “Worship With Us”.
