Most of you have heard already that the Bishop-designate (that is how they are called before actually in office) is the Reverend Canon Robert Innes, Senior Chaplain of the Pro-Cathedral of Holy Trinity in Brussels. Robert is also a Chaplain to Her Majesty the Queen and Archbishop of Canterbury’s representative to the European Union. You can read more about Canon Robert from the Diocesan website
His consecration as a bishop (the service in which he becomes a bishop when other bishops lay their hands on him) is on 20th July in the Canterbury Cathedral. His Installation as the Bishop of Gibraltar in Europe (the service in which he becomes legally the Bishop of the Diocese in Europe) is in the Cathedral of Holy Trinity in Gibraltar on Thursday, 4th September. I will be attending at that service.
Please, keep Robert in your prayers as he prepares for his new ministry.
I would like to present something to him on behalf of the Anglican Church in Finland. Please, post your suggestions to me; chaplain@Anglican.fi, or Sarah sarah@Anglican.fi.
