1800: Evening Prayer
1900: Solemn Eucharist of the Lord’s Supper
On the evening of Christ’s betrayal we gather in the Upper Room (the Cathedral Chapel is the perfect venue!) to celebrate the Eucharist. During this service, any who desire it can have their feet washed, as Christ washed the feet of his disciples at the Last Supper. When the Eucharist is over, the altar is stripped, as Christ was stripped when he was arrested. We then keep a watch until midnight. You are free to come and go during the watch as you wish. There will be simple refreshments available in the downstairs kitchen.
