Alleluia! Christ is Risen!
|
Easter Day is a special day in many ways. It is a joyous celebration of our redemption by Christ but it does also feel, at least from the priest's point of view, like a completion of a cycle. The weeks ahead of us will still be weeks and 'Sundays of Easter' when we focus on celebrating that Christ is alive and reigns. But then, after the Day of Pentecost, we will again hear about Jesus' teachings and signs of miracles before he entered Jerusalem. Now it is the time of new beginnings, new joy, new hope in the Lord.
